Nanny made Leah this lovely Easter "bonnet" for Leah on Holy Saturday
For the second year in a row, we spent Holy Saturday with the Dillons and Smillies out in western Massachusetts. The day was filled with egg dying, delicious food, a beautiful vigil ceremony -complete with wonderful singing by my Aunts and cousins, and finally some champagne and cake to finish the evening off and to begin our Easter celebration.

We celebrated Easter morning with the Dillons. Those kids were so good and patient - they had to wait for Joe, Leah and I to get up before they got to head downstairs and hunt for eggs and baskets. For anyone who doesn't know - we tend to be late sleepers.... So yeah, those were patient kids.
The Easter bunny did a pretty good job hiding baskets. He was quite creative -- How did he get Maggie's basket up there???

Leah very much enjoyed her basket full of fun toys and Joe and I enjoyed her tasty treats (since she's too little for candy. Lucky us.) We finished Easter morning with a fabulous breakfast of eggs benedict, fruit, and sticky buns - deeeeelish!

We were blessed with some absolutely lovely weather the entire weekend and enjoyed visiting outside in the sun.

Easter afternoon, the three of us headed back to Nanny and Papa's house for - take a guess- MORE delicious food!!! With the weather being so lovely and all, Papa broke out the grill and fixed up some beautiful steaks and a few lamb chops. Leah had her first taste of food -- Lamb Chop bone. Needless to say, she loved it. Mmmmm
