Six Months

On the one hand, it is hard to believe that little Leah is already half a year old.  However, on the other hand it is amazing to me that we only just met her six months ago.  Was there really a time not so long ago when we did not know who she was??  Amazing.

She's twice as big and she sure moves and "talks" a lot more than she did on Nov. 3rd.  She has learned so much already and it's incredible to think of all the things she'll be mastering in the next 6 months - what with crawling and eating and walking right around the corner. Leah just continues to impress us every time we look at her.

Here are a few of her most recent activities:
-She's on the move! She's starting to scoot and turn on her tummy
-She's starting to sit up on her own for extended periods of time.
-She is very interested in food, but is not all that interested in actually eating it yet.  She's tried bananas, sweet potato, avocado and a bit of rice cereal.  She tolerates a little bit of each, but mostly wants to grab it and smash it even more, if that's possible. (note: she does enjoy chomping on a good chicken bone or a nice big carrot, though. I think it's because she gets to hold it.)
-She claps her feet.
-She likes when you play patty cake and pony boy with her.
-She loves Nanny's hair.
-She really likes to "feel" my fingers and hands with her sharp little nails.  Some would say it's more like scratching.  They would be right.
-She loves seeing the baby in the mirror (Papa takes her to find herself  in the mirror every night when he gets home)
