A Very Merry Christmas

This year we enjoyed a wonderfully quiet, relaxed Christmas. While we did miss our families, it was nice to have our own little Christmas without any holiday traveling. There were no airports, no delays, no rushing around. It was lovely. A little dusting of snow would have made it pretty much perfect (but we are in Dallas, so I guess that would have been asking kind of a lot.)

In honor of the Bird family tradition, we began the celebration of the birth of our Lord with Christmas Eve Mass followed by a spread of tasty hors d'oeuvres and a bit of champagne.



Christmas morning, we woke up, checked our stockings, poured the mimosas, ate brunch, and dove into the presents.






In case you were wondering, yes, we did stay in our pajamas all day (until right before dinner actually).
