Lately...

I have been terrible at keeping up with this blog. It has been a lovely and busy spring and, thus, I have quite a bit of catching up to do. So, in order to bring this blog up to date before I wake up and find that it's July, I am going to recap the last couple months in this one post. In the words of Inigo Montoya, "Let me explain. No, there is too much. Let me sum up."

Please bear with me and do try to follow along.

In February, (yes, I am reaching back to February - but only for a very important and very adorable reason....) we welcomed Jon and Katie's little Evangeline Elizabeth into the world. It was so exciting to be living close by and get to run over to the hospital to see baby Evie just hours after her birth. I can't believe we get to have a tiny babe of our own in a couple months!

Soon after Evie was born, Nanny flew into town for a visit.  We got to go for some walks, feed the ducks with Fifi, and show off the new "purple puff" that Nanny got Leah.

In March, we celebrated Mardi Gras.  There was cajun music and a bit of balcony scandal:

Aunt Meg and Leah in their Mardi Gras masks!

We got to see Meg for a weekend during UD's spring break. We took a walk to the Grapevine Botanical Gardens. It was lovely.

Leah is obsessed with these fish!

I changed my mind.  I'm pretty sure this blog post is long enough and needs to end.  I'm not quite caught up, but I'm done for now.  Stay tuned for posts on:  Evie's baptism weekend, our trip to Wisconsin, Easter, and a few others about nothing in particular.
