Happy 1st Birthday Benjamin Michael!

It's hard to believe that a year has already gone by since we welcomed our little Ben into the world.  I still see him as my little baby, but he sure has grown!  He's fast on his feet, quick to smile, and loves to try and move heavy things.  He's an excellent climber (but is terrible at getting down) and he enjoys holding Leah's hands when he dances.  He has a bad habit of pulling all of the books off of the shelf, but I do love to see him page through the stories as he sits on top of the book mountain he created.  Ben Bird - we can't imagine our lives without you!

Ben spent his birthday, July 9th, workin' hard at the Scituate Beach with all his Bird and Speier cousins.

For his birthday dinner, we had some delicious enchiladas and rice (thank you Aunt Cindy and Uncle Stevie - it was the perfect dinner for our Texas boy!!).  The evening was topped off with brownies, ice cream and some presents.

Ben got to continue his birthday celebration when we got home with a present from Mom, Dad, and Leah....

And gifts from Uncle Phil and Aunt Anne...
