On January 7th Joe, Leah, and I headed down to NOLA for the Chatry - O'Brien wedding. We were hoping to enjoy some balmy Louisiana weather, but unfortunately the cold followed us down south. We even got stuck in Atlanta - where it happened to be snowing. We had to spend the night in one of Atlanta's fine hotels. Leah hated it.
Once we finally made it to New Orleans, though, we had a blast and Leah got to meet the rest of her Aunts and Uncles on the Bird side. Allie and Kateri even made it!! Nanny and Papa rented a house on the Tchefuncte River for all of us. I wish I had a picture of the house!
Friday night, Anne and Phil joined the festivities at the river house. It was so nice to see my sister again.
The wedding was tons of fun with delicious food (I thoroughly enjoyed the oysters and sushi), lots of babies, and plenty of dancing.
