Winter Vacationing

Many people who live in the climate that we do here in New England enjoy taking a vacation during the long, dark, cold winter. Usually, I believe, this vacation is to a warmer place. You know, a place where you can catch a break from the snow and the goosebumps (for example, Phoenix or some such place).

Well, we spent two and a half weeks in Wisconsin and Chicago instead! And we had a most wonderful time!! We arrived in Wisconsin on Dec. 22nd and our time was mostly spent relaxing by the fire and enjoying each others company. Leah was spoiled and spent her time lounging in the arms of her adoring aunts, uncles, and grandparents.

For New Years Eve, we headed down to Chicago and stayed there until after my brother's Wedding (I'll cover those two in another post.) Leah was such a trooper with all of the plane rides and car rides. It was such a treat to spend some quality time with my family and Leah finally got to meet her Great-Grandma White and her Great-Grandma and Great-Grandpa Guggemos (among many many other relatives!!)

After our partying in the greater Chicago area, we shot back up to Wisconsin for a few more relaxing days before we had to fly off to New Orleans on Jan 7th.

We can't wait to go back!
