A makeshift sword sheath
I caught him walking around the house like this...

The time I underestimated Ben's intelligence...
Before I forget, I want to jot down this little scene that played out about a week ago.
While visiting the Danahers for little MG's birthday, I wanted to show Anne how Ben loves the letter O. And also to have her hear him say it, because he says it, "bO" and it's super cute.
Anyway, I picked up the book, "The Pokey Little Puppy," and called over Ben.
(Me to Ben) "What letter do you see?"
(As expected, Ben pointed to the "O")
(Ben) "BO!"
(Me to Anne) "Isn't that funny!? But that's, like, the only letter he knows."
(Ben, as he points to the corresponding letters) "P. U. P. P. Y"
He showed me.

Road trip to Covington, LA
This past weekend we went on our own little Spring Break to Louisiana to visit some of the Chatry relatives. We had such a wonderful time visiting, relaxing, and enjoying some delicious dinners. There was plenty to do with a beautiful pool and a peaceful river at our fingertips, lots of fishing, and a dog and two cats to follow around.
Swimming:
Fishing at the Property:
See Leah's fish? ...
Ben and Leah adored the animals.
Also, there was this to play with...
Crawfish! Yum!
Beignets at Cafe du Monde:
Uncle Mark and his iPhone made a best friend...
Cruising on the river:
It was a beautiful trip and we're still reaping the benefits. We drove home with a cooler packed with fresh fish fillets, some crab meat, and gumbo! Thank you Chatrys!

Our Easter weekend
Oh how I love Easter!! It is just an awesome Holy Day filled with joy, peace, family and the expectation of lovely springtime. This year our Easter was a little different because Daddy Joe had to work on Easter evening. We still tried to squeeze everything in and so our Holy Saturday turned into a fun, full day.
We took the kids to the UD Alumni Easter Egg Hunt and both kids had a blast: Leah adored the Easter bunny. Ben was not a huge fan and steered clear of the big rabbit.
Leah and her best buddy, Maggie, were inseparable the entire afternoon. It was so sweet.
After the UD event, we got to swing by the Bird's to see everyone, have a margarita, and squeeze little baby Atticus.
We ended our Holy Saturday with champagne, egg-dying, and our Easter dinner.
Ben really got into the Easter morning egg hunting this year and loved putting the eggs back into the carton. Leah was a pro and helped find everyone's baskets.
Thank you, Lord, for dying and rising. God Bless us all this Easter Season.

Dandelions.
Ben has been playing outside happily by himself for quite a while. He just came inside and plopped a handpicked bunch of white dandelion seed heads in my lap. My lap and the floor around me are now covered in dandelion seeds, but I don't mind. He picked me flowers!
Ben - you are such a sweet boy.
